New Anchor Line-Up for GMAZ

Tess announced this morning that Javier Soto will be temporarily moving to weekdays at 4:30am with Kaley O'Kelley. On Saturday, Tyler Baldwin will be joining her and, on Sundays, Ryan O'Donnell will be joining her. I think I got it right.

I wonder if this has doing with the expansion of GMAZ weekdays to 5.5 hours or, it could be due to April's maternity leave (perhaps Kaley will be doing weather certain days during April's time off). Tess did imply that it was a termporary move, which may mean the latter.
 
I hope it's just temporary. I can only watch the Weekend Show of GMAZ. I can't tolerate the weekday staff. Tess is real diamond in the rough, very pleasant and enjoyable. Seems like a good hearted person, what you see is what you get kind of person.

I really liked the combo of Tess & Javier, great chemisty, great on air couple, so to speak.

When I first heard about the move regarding Javier Soto I was wondering if it was in regards to either replacing Scott Passmore or something else going on.
 
I agree with you, MusicFan. I prefer the weekend show. However, I've been watching the weekday show recently because they do a lot of traffic now -- since Gine Maravilla joined 3TV. For my drive to work, I really need to know the latest traffic and Gina does a great job.

As for Scott and Tara, they've never impressed me. Tara's annoying and mean-spirited at times. Actually, I was a little annoyed at Tess this morning. She wouldn't let go of the fact that Ryan wasn't wearing red (until Dr Art loaned Ryan his red tie). It seems like the spirit of Tara came upon Tess this monrning. :D
 
Javier is joining Kaley for the 4:30-5:00 segment (April on weather and Gina on traffic also). Scott gets to sleep in an extra half hour and then joins Kaley at 5, with Javier going into the field to cover stories after 5am. Tara rolls in at 6am to join Scott and Kaley until 10am.
 
So, this is a permanent change??? Tess made it sound temporary. When will they name a permanent male co-anchor on GMAZ weekend? I thought it was going to be Javier.
 
In the back of my mind, I was wondering when this would happen. I think Scott Pasmore flexed his muscles and said 5.5 hours is a long time for the co-anchor (especially since his partner Tara Hitchcock is only working 4 of those hours) and asked could he come in a 5:00 AM. Never mind that Kaley O'Kelley, April Warnecke and Gina Maravilla (does she work until 10:00?) are doing the entire GMAZ show. While I'll still watch GMAZ I don't like how the main anchors don't work the entire show.
 
Well, most 5+ hour shows havw a clear anchor line-up. As far as I can tell, the 3TV lineup is:

4:30am Kaley O'Kelley and Javier Soto
5:00am Scott Passmore and Kaely O'Kelley
6:00am Tara Hitchcock and Scott Passmore (Kaley O;Kelley -- segment anchor)

Perhaps Kaley and Javier should anchor from 4:30am to 6am. Then, Tara and Scott should take over. Javier could report from the field starting at 7am. Kaley could continue her in-studio anchoring starting at 6:30am.
