New Bone Mornings

The "Regular Guys", syndicated from Atlanta. Cumulus Radio's cornerstone Rock Radio Morning Show. Any thoughts? And does this make it official that Dallas has NO local air talent worthy of a morning drive show?

You're welcome. It's nice to know my sources are still reliable... slow, but reliable.

I believe DFW has plenty of great local talent. Unfortunately, all of them are working other jobs because corporate radio wants to go with safe, CHEAP, cookie cutter radio.
No effort, no thought, no cost.
The fact that it also creates no revenue and no listener base just never seems to occur to them.

I listened to The Regular Guys this morning for the first time and they are just what I expected.
Garbage radio with no imagination. Dry as toast and dead boring. They son't sound like they care a damn about what they're doing. Just going through the motions, like corporate radio.

Thank goodness I'm not trying to sell time on that station.

Ha ha!! That's funny, blackdog!! Back to the topic: Bubba the Love Sponge mentioned last week that they were "talking to a station in Dallas" but the PD left for L.A. Hmmm, I wonder who that was..

Bubba makes Lex & Terry look like geniuses. Pray he doesn't come there.

If the optionis Bubba or L&T, then it's Bubba hands down. Not a huge fan, but at least some things on the show are funny. I cant ever remembert L&T actually being funny.

Dallas needs this..... instead, instead, instead, of great music.

THIS IS----- YOUR TYPICAL LISTENER......

AND WHO THE ADVERTISERS ARE TARGETING......

No wonder Classic Rock formats continue.....

WITH SUCH A DISCRIMINATING AUDIENCE.....

Corporate Radio.... Looking for the Bottom of the Barrel....

AT --EVERY-- TURN ! ! !

Sorry. Just trying to push the Russ post to the bottom of the page...again. What did Eddie Murphy say about herpes and old luggage? Oh yeah. You can never get rid of it. Just sayin'. ::)

good god i thought i had escaped trg when i left atlanta. now they've followed me to dallas? and will be on pretty much the only terrestrial station besides npr that i can listen to?

satan is clearly at work. sirius, you've got me 24/7.

I totally agree. I'll be listening to my satellite radio all of the time now.

Something tells me that you would listen to sat radio in any case, so why waste the energy expressing it here? There are boards for that. Enjoy your Sirius/XM.

I listened for two days. I have a feeling that people in DFW will not respond (at all) to this morning show. 93.3 should find someone who can talk about the music and news in very brief segments in the morning. They can forget about these guys from Atlanta. This funny guy in the morning (zoo) thing is outmoded unless its spectacular and the regular guys aren't. Again, the focus should be on music and interesting information (brief please). It just doesn't seem to fit in my opinion.

The music has been mostly boring but its better than what it was as the bone.

The world is spinning so fast for so many people that many will barely notice it. If anyone is following closely there will either be total negativity or a smart alec private, direct comment (just for the heck of it - LOL).
