I just saw this story posted at www.countryaircheck.com
Legendary Country station WHN-AM/New York will come to life again on Feb. 25, 40 years to-the-day after its 1973 launch and coinciding with the publication of former PD Ed Salamon's book WHN: When New York City Went Country. Staffers from the station's 15-year run will reunite at Manhattan's Hill Country Live club by presenting a panel of stories and memories. Moderated by Salamon, former WHN staffers participating include Hill Country Live Dir. Jessie Scott, Alan Colmes and Lee Arnold. A Feb. 26 on-air reunion will follow on Fairleigh Dickinson University's WFDU from 9am-3:45pm.
----
Lee Arnold once explained on the air that the stations call letters came from Willie Nelson's initials. That's not exactly true, although Willie's middle name IS Hugh.
