NEW BOSS (JAMES SPADER) LEAVING "THE OFFICE"

I take it then he is going to be replaced by Ted McGinley? ;D

I hope Ted Danson takes over the lead role. He has truly reinvigorated "CSI" and I think he would be a great fit with the cast. Plus, he seems to like to have several projects going at once.

(Before someone lands on me, I'm only kidding, I know this would never happen)

Believe it or not, I agree with you. Ted Danson is at his best in an ensemble cast.

Plus although he certainly has dramatic skills, Danson's forte has always been comedy.

We met the new boss, and he wasn't the same as the old boss (to paraphrase the Who).

Unfortunately, as much as I love The Office, it's way past time to put the series out of it's misery.

I have a minority opinion, I guess. IMO, The Office is not what it once was, but is still consistently funny, and worth watching. Though it's an ensemble cast, Steve Carell's character was clearly the pivotal role around which most of the plots took place - and the show has weathered that change well, I think. Spader's character was a bit odd and out of place, but I suppose that's the point - 'Robert California' stirs things up, and makes the office people uncomfortable.

If the show was cancelled, I wouldn't be too sad, but I still enjoy it.
