New broadcast network to air in mid-2008

This just in: A new network based from Columbus, OH will sign on later this year. It's called the "dot-two" network specially for digital subchannels. All programming is "FCC-friendly" (as the website so succinctly puts it), and all EI requirements will be followed. More to come on this new creation as the story develops....

Based in Columbus?

Run (until he bails) by a guy named Diffenderfer?

With affiliates in such major markets as Chicopee,
St. Augustine, Bellingham and Punta Gorda?

You're sure its name isn't Skybust TV? ;D

Merideth also owns WFSB-TV/DT (CBS) channel 3/D 33 of Hartford. Their subchannels are a CBS 3 servie they send to the Springfield, MA market and Eyewitness News Now. Something tells me they won't be carrying it. Belo doesn't own any stations in Connecticut.

Post-Newsweek WKMG already airs LATV on 6.2, and seems to be a much better fit for the Orlando area considering the demo it covers. Not sure why they'd want to make the jump to this new network, although it does seem Post-Newsweek owns the majority of the stations on their proposed list for planned adds.

ION.2 :) That sounds about right.

Nope, Bellingham (WA) isn't on the list of .2 affiliates. Though I'm sure KVOS-TV can certainly use them....
