New "Bug" On WBZ-4 Local Newscasts

Today (June 22nd), I noted a new "bug" on the lower right-hand-corner of the screen during WBZ-4's local noon newscast.

This "bug" has an American Flag background, and is no doubt being used to promote the station's broadcast of the Boston Pops' July 4th concert.

I suspect that on July 5th, WBZ will go back to it's usual "bug" on it's local newscasts.

Part of the Philistines at The Gate

Its all part of the hype for the so called Boston Pops Concert on the Esplande on the 4th of July.
Since CBS 4/WBZ TV has taken over from WCVB Ch.5 The Boston Pops Concert has been an insult to the heritage of the Boston Pops. Last year they had some singer who couldn't hold a note in a suitcase and they chopped all the major music pieces including the 1812 Overture down to fit into the commercial format. Keith Lockhard has sold out. The bug is more than on the bottom of your screen. Time to call Terminex !

WHDH-7's "7News" bug that pops up during programming is incredibly distracting and annoying! This thing pops up with bubbles and has Randy Price and Katerina Bandini moving around about whatever non-news crap will be featured at 11. Horrible!!!
