New calls for 660 Fairhope/Mobile

I just noticed that WDLT 660 is now WWFF.

Anything new on the horizon, or is it still simulcasting Gospel 900 WGOK?

I was waiting for someone who actually knew something to reply to this question. I guess no one knows what's up.

660 is still simulcasting WGOK but the Cumulus Mobile website has an advertising package up to sell spots for a new Women's Talk station on 660 called "The Voice."

You must have blinked your eyes (or your ears). That women's talk format on 660 promptly died the same day the network shut down (late summer?). For that matter, I'm not sure Greenstone Media (the national net providing most of the women's talk) lasted a full six months on the air. I caught it one summer weekend while driving around Daphne. Whatever I heard, it certainly wasn't memorable enough to root for its success.

Still, simulcasting WGOK 900 on the former WDLT-AM is a waste. They should do something different or possibly sell 660 off to a local outfit.

I just have a bad memory. I haven't listened to 660 since they dropped CNN Headline News. All I remember after that is the Blues music.
