New Calls for 680 AM

I noticed quite by accident this morning that WWTQ is now WSMB. A bit of research tells me that Entercom recently switched 1350 in New Orleans from WSMB to WWWL, and is running a time-shifted version of WWL's programming on that previously Air America outlet. I wonder if they're just sticking WSMB on 680 in order to be able to hold on to it, or if a flip is in the offing, especially given Air America's bankruptcy and possible forthcoming demise.

Wow, so WWL can now be heard in 3 places on the dial - 870, 1350 and 105.3. Crazy. :)

not quite. wwwl 1350 is time delayed wwl. evening sports talk is on the next morning. morning show is on mid days. cooking show is on live that is not on wwl. its wwl on demand ???

Yeah, I totally don't get the "WWL On Demand @ 1350" slogan they're using. I thought "on demand" meant what I want, when I want it, like those video-on-demand services that some cable companies have.

It may be tape delayed, but it's still apparently a lot of WWL's content, even mimicing the calls. I think it's the "same enough" ;D
