New Calls for WJAR?

Now that Media General has officially taken over ownership, will they replace the WJAR calls? They'd be crazy to do so, but crazy things happen in this business.

Any Providence TV stations with new calls on-the-way?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Why don't you check the FCC database for yourself like I did..

If they were planning on changing call letters.... an application would be on file and you'd be able to see it in that database.

No new calls but a new-look website

WJAR is a heritage callsign in Providence, thus WJAR will remain on Channel 10.

You'll eventually see a different look for the station's website. As of this post it's still using the NBC O&O template. Media General stations use a different template.

Maybe he checked the FCC data base already.

And yeah, maybe they haven't been applied for yet...

No reason to change those call letters. They are well suited, well known and respected in this market.
