New Calls for WPFB-FM

Hi guys! I'm new here. I just heard the new calls for 105.9 as WNKN-FM
Radio Locator does not have them yet.

What's with the crummy audio quality on WNKN? It sounds like a low bit rate mp3 with the "swishing" effect on the high frequencies. Using the internet to feed it or is it lousy source material?

What's on 910 AM now? Are they still simulcasting WNKU or not?
At least as of earlier this week, yes, 910 (which maintains its WPFB-AM calls) is still simulcasting WNKU. NKU is trying to sell it off but apparently hasn't had any takers so far.

WOSU-AM 820 in Columbus has been officially put on the block by tOSU since February 1, 2011. There has been talks going on between the broker for WOSU-AM and a few potential buyers but no deal has been reached as of yet. As the OHIO MEDIA WATCH has pointed out before, tOSU is in
no hurry to sell the station, as it's not a fire sale because they are looking for a best deal for tOSU. These things take time, I'm told.
This appears to be a similar scenario for WPFB-AM because of the time of sale and NKU not needing to have a fire sale. Both are able to hang
on as long as they want to get the best deal they are satisfied with.
