I think your NPR on 90.3 could have been WHLA out of La Crosse, WI. 97kw from 307 meters above average terrain. Their tower is actually west of the river in Minnesota!
I was too far south to get in on most of the action last night. I was getting some Chicago and Milwaukee. Occasionally WPNE would poke through WGNB. That's the best I could do.
I'm thinking either them or WHBM Park Falls, WI. The two run pretty much the exact same schedule.
Got some more stations today:
92.9 - WXMM Chilton, WI (trying to peak in under local WJZQ)
93.7 - WCYE Three Lakes, WI (heard ad mentioning Eagle River)
95.3 - W237AA Appleton, WI (Yahoo Sports Radio, WSCO-AM translator)
95.5 - WIFC Wausau, WI (trying to peek in under local WQEZ)
96.9 - WWWX Oshkosh, WI
97.5 - WTAQ Glenmore, WI (probably my most wanted station!, stopped ETM on Tecsun despite being right next door to 2.5kW WMLQ three miles away)
97.9 - WSPT Stevens Point, WI (under WMLQ slop)
104.7 - WBJZ Berlin, WI
Some more notes: Big Cheese 107.9 and KZ104.3 both showed up with RDS; WVRN and WHRM out of the Wausau area were both listenable right next to strong stations 30 miles away; many Green Bay/Wausau stations stopped the scan on the car radio (88.9, 93.9, 94.7, 98.5, 99.7, 100.3, 101.1, 102.7, 104.1, 104.9, 105.7, 106.5, 107.9); WQLH was strong enough at times to interfere with local WLDN on 98.7; WZDR was spilling over onto 99.5 and 99.9; not only was WRVM gobbling up WMOM, they were also spilling over onto 102.9
