NEW CBS2 BROADCAST CENTER - THOUGHTS?

I've been watching all weekend and this morning and so far I think it's awesome. The studio is MASSIVE. Great location too. I'm sure Daley Plaza will be getting a lot of use.

My only complaint so far - the weather and sports desks are SO far away from the main anchor desk.
When they do the wide shots, it feels awkward how far away they are.

Have you been watching? What are your thoughts?

If your antenna is strictly uhf then you will not pick up Ch 2. You can use either a rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna but it must be able to receive vhf also as ch2's digital signal is on Ch 3.

If that is what you are already using then you may need to play around with it a little until you receive the
signal. It will be interesting to see what happens in February when the switch comes and those who rely
solely on an antenna for their signal will find that they are only receiving some of the channels and not all.

Sometimes I wonder if the cable and satellite folks are licking their chops waiting for everyone to screw
the battle with an antenna and go with them or if they were somehow 'in' on this entire conversion from the
start.

Don't forget that when the switch comes, WBBM-DT won't be on channel 3 any longer - it'll be on channel 12. And most UHF antennas are at least halfway decent on high-band VHF.

So, right now WBBM HD is a cable only channel. Correct? I live in Downers Grove and have an outdoor antenna. I recieve everything including an accasional HD signal from WNDU in South Bend but I never receive the WBBM HD signal. I even get WYIN!

Effectively. The channel 3 signal is so useless that it might as well be cable-only. Most people cannot see it over the air.
