New Cell Phone tower causing FM interference...

Hey folks. A new Verizon tower went up about a mile from my work (in between Marysville and Bellefontaine) about a month ago. Well, the same day it was running and my service at work went from 1 to 4 bars(about a week ago,) I noticed that most stations that aren't big in power get interference at times. It is random, and you hear a "popping" noise through the radio. My work radio, car radio, and everyone else's at work started doing it as well. I just happened to look at the tower while on lunch while listening to the "popping," and it seems to be right in sequence with the beacon light. When the light blinks, the popping stops for a split second. Then starts until it blinks again. Any ideas on what is going on here...? I even noticed it a little on WCOL too, which comes in decent out there.

I turned it to a few AM stations as I ate lunch and as I drove by the tower on my way home, but no interference on them at all. Only on FM.
