New CEO at BMP Radio

Jeffrey T. Hinson has been named president/CEO of Border Media Partners, effective July 1. Tom Castro, founder of the company, which operates Spanish-language and Hispanic-targeted English language radio stations, is now vice chairman of the Board.

Hinson most recently served as executive VP/CFO of Univision Communications, and prior to that was senior VP/CFO of Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, which became Univision Radio in 2003.

BMP also announced it closed on KTSA-AM and KXJK-FM/San Antonio, which it purchased from CBS Corporation.

This had everything to do with the fact that Castro doesn't know what he is doing. He over bought in Austin, and his revenue efficiencies don't make any sense. The investors finally figured it out and now he has been moved over so someone who knows what to do can do the job. Typical Tom Castro. Thats why there are many at Univision who when asked do you worry about him, they say no. We have beaten him before and will again. Smoke and mirrors is castros' method.
