DAMN!!! Not my Chrome!!!! I'd better get the tape rolling ASAP.

(Chrome = all 1970s-early 80s disco. One of my few guilty pleasures.)

2XMX Gone..........
What's gonna happen to Bob Dylans Theme Time Radio and Tom Pettys Buried Treasures. Not to mention Marty Stuarts Show.

Seriously... do a little research.. you'll see that no official announcement has been made by XM/Sirius.
This whole list may be absolutely correct, but I'm not buying it until I see something from the company.
I also don't buy the notion that this will happen Wednesday - unless we get some official word.

Where's all the talk stations? The ESPN's, talk stations, all the baseball channels....all those staying the same?

Well, this is pretty much what I feared when this merger happened. Several of my favorite channels are being merged, altered or eliminated. Being the music nerd that I am, I used the three day free trial both services offered before deciding on XM over three years ago. That decision was based solely on depth of music. XM had it over Serius hands down. I don't know why the company is being so covert with this, but if you listen you've noticed the changes already. One of the best hip-hop shows anywhere, Pitch Control, aired its last show on what was one of my favorite channels (XMU) tonight. Another example is here:

I guess I can look forward to hearing more washed-up LA DJs like Freddy Snakeskin and more mainstream music programming. We'll see how long I can take it.

People here don't care about sports or talk so much. So to them it looks something like this:

130-140 blah blah blah
140-150 yadda yadda yadda
150-160 Sportsblah Sportsblah Sportsblah
160-190 MLBlah Blahplay by blahplay

Firstly, I care more about sports and talk than the stuff I can get on my iPod and play exactly what I want.

Secondly, if people are going to discuss the satellite issue, it would seem that a full, complete and total accounting of the changes has a better place in the diatribe than "I'm going to remain completely ignorant of the rest of their offering."

But, a complete and total understanding isn't what some are seeking as evidenced by the bias in their thinking in total.

I am a Sirius Subscriber & on that list i didn't see the Strobe Sirius 37 which is one of my favorite channels. Is this gonna be axed too?

The only info. I got from Sirius was the "retired" channels

Disorder
Backspin
Punk
The Strobe
Boombox
Latin
E
Maxim

They also said Pulse stays on 9 but we will see at midnight!

I cancelled my susbscription due to this...Uncle Mel sure hasnt learned his lessons from screwing with CBS Radio...

Were you a XM or Sirius Sub ? As long as i get some good classic rock, some oldies, some blues i'm happy.....Some tejano would have been nice...but i see we're down to one latin Channel.

Sirius, but I was hoping they bring over Lucy and Ethyl from XM to replace alt nation/lithium, whos playlists are a joke. Plus, Id rather spend my 13/month on something else in this slowed economy.
