Wow!

Re: San Francisco

Mike,

I thought long and hard about moving to San Francisco back in 1988 while I was walking around San Francisco and a resident of Brooklyn. I weighed all the positive and negative points of San Francisco to New York and with logic and no emotion decided that New York has San Francisco beat.

I could go into the details, but you will probably think of them too if you give it a lot of consideration.

Yes, I am in Austin, Texas now, because there are certain aspect that NYC and SF have in common that Austin does not burden me with. I have done well here so now I can visit NYC or SF whenever I want.

First of all Tiny, before you jump into the middle of the
discussion you should go back and read some of the other
posts and other threads.
As for credentials, I am up front with mine and with who I
am. I don't hide it. Yes I do a three hour show on a non
commercial station. And you know what I'm proud of that
station and what I do, so I don't need to hide.
Cat on the other hand has no credentials that I have seen.

Sorry but in my opinion Cat has no credibility at all.
And I doubt that I'm the only one who thinks so. Cat offers
no proof what so ever of his claims and until he does I
have no use for him. David at least backs up his opinion
with information on what he's done and where he's been.
As for the "King of the Ohio Non-Comms" this emperor is well
dressed. That title was given to me by Cat himself to take
a jab at me, but I loved it so much that I started using it
just to rub his nose in it.
Do you know what being a volunteer DJ on a non-profit station
really means? It means that the people there are doing it
because they LOVE the music and maybe , just maybe love radio.
I actually lose money doing this. but thats ok it's a labor
of love. And about being in the industry. I don't want to
be in radio full time. I can't afford the pay cut I'd have
to take not to mention having to play the sorry excuse for
a playlist in "Oldie" radio nowadays.

Tiny this shows how little you know abut me and this on
going discussion. I am more than happy
to sit down, shut up, watch and learn from the good people
radio today and of yesterday. Unlike Cat, I do not think I
am the greatest thing on the air. I make plenty of mistakes
and I know that I don't know everything. I've been doing this
for five years now Tiny and I have barely scratched the surface
of learning about DJing in my opinion.
As I said above I can't afford the pay cut to be a
"professional." You mention acting like a professional, well
I don't come here and tell everyone they are wrong and don't
know what they are talking about like Cat has a habit of
doing and I have a low tolerance for people like that.
There are a lot of people here that I respect and am more
than happy to listen to and get help and advice from.
People like CMatthews, WWES, Johnny Morgan and some that
are not here my hero's in this business like Norm N. Nite,
Bruce Morrow, Mark Allen, Lou Kirby and so on. I think these
are good people to listen to.

First of all Tiny I wouldn't work for someone like you
with your attitude. I work hard, I show up for work,
almost never call off, am willing to work more than I
am scheduled for to cover and I ALWAYS end up making
supervisor because I am reliable, responsible and hard
working.
I have no interest in working for CC or Infinity since
they did away with WCBS and changed KFRC or and of the
other big corporations. This is all for Love, I can make
money anywhere and more of it too from what everyone I
know in the business tells me.

On behalf of all the hard-working, proven radio professionals on this board, I want to thank you personally for making a total fool of yourself. Again and again, you prove to all who is credible and who is not (and despite your junior high-toned taunts, it ain't you).

(By the way, Mike- at least I post my Email address publicly. What are you, a fraidy-cat???) <LMAOAY>

Well cat if you were one of the hard working, PROVEN radio
professionals here I'd be interested in what you say. But
since you're not, I'm just laughing at you.
As for calling me a dweeb, that doesn't bother me. I have
strong sholders and I figure if you're talking about me
you're leaving someone else alone. And you don't need to
worry about me harrassing you at work cat. Wether I like
you or not I would not endanger your livelyhood, even you
don't deserve that. Oh and as far as being afraid of this
"dweeb", you're right you don't need to be. It's not like
I'm going to come hunt you up. You aren't worth the gas
or airfare.
You talk about contributions and perspectives, why is it
that your's seem to only be that I'm the professional and
I am right and everyone else is wrong? I wonder about that.

This goes to show how little you pay attention. I have
almost always posted the stations web site URL and I have
an email link right on there. But just to make it easier
for you I have now placed my email on my information
section.

Blah, blah, blah. Right Mike- I'm nothing and you know better.

Now you can go pretend to be the BMOC and I'll continue to collect my sizable RADIO paycheck for my third consecutive decade. 'Nuff said.
