new chr singles

1) Katharine McPhee - Over It
Will do pretty good.

2) Lloyd - You
Pretty good, sounds like it'll do well.

3) Mims - This Is Why I'm Hot
Garbage and a cheap way to climb the charts. (listen to the song & you'll see why)

4) Pretty Ricky - On the Hotline
It's ok, much better than anything off Bluestars.

5) Akon - Don't Matter
CHR will be all over this song.

6) Jay-Z - Hollywood
Doesn't seem CHR is showing any love to his return.

7) Chris Brown - Poppn'
Boring, but better than "Say Goodbye" by all means.

8) Christina Aguilera - Candyman
TERRIBLE third single. "Slow Down Baby" has 10x more potential.

9) Paula DeAnda - Easy
Great song, but the singles kinda run together. She needs something upbeat.

10) Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning
Fantastic next single.

1) Katharine McPhee - Over It
McPheever will sweep the nation starting with this track..

2) Lloyd - You
Very smooth. Will do fairly well. Not a chart-blazer, but will steadily climb and do respectably well.

3) Mims - This Is Why I'm Hot
This is why hip-hop is in a doldrums right now. Might do well in Rhythmic and Urban, but this will only get airplay on Mainstream through OHP and Romeo's Playhouse... unless your local station happens to think this should, for some reason God only knows, be picked up.

4) Pretty Ricky - On the Hotline
Decent, but nothing to write home about.

5) Akon - Don't Matter
Mainstream will jump on it, and it will do well, but I'm calling it at 4 or 3, tops.

6) Jay-Z - Hollywood
Not that great. His past two should have done better than they did, but this is no way to impress upon MD's the fact that Hova is back.

7) Chris Brown - Poppn'
He still sounds like a 12-year-old to me, and he still can't sing on stage (thanks to the dancing and whatnot). At least Wayne Newton had a good voice live.

8 ) Christina Aguilera - Candyman
Not that bad, but not that great. It's uptempo, which will have something going for it, and it's catchy, so that will work in it's favor, too. But otherwise, it's unremarkable.

9) Paula DeAnda - Easy
Gotta agree with spongebag on this one. Let's try a new sound for a change. Not everyone can be Ace of Base and make the exact same beat work four times in a row. Granted, she changes it up a little here and adds a few BPM, but it's the same beat.

10) Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning
Haven't heard it yet.

Spongebob and Josh...
I am going to give you another one......

"Lost Without U" by Robin Thicke (Yes, that is Alan Thicke's ("Growing Pains") son).

What do ya think fellas?

Chart killer on Urban.
CHR, not so much.
