With the new CP built, this station and WNKV will basically one/two punch the southshore with outside mega-broadcaster K-Love going against Longtime New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Christian station WBSN (Lifesongs 89.1) who has a bunch of translators to help coverage in the Bayou and Northshore regions
Up in Baton Rouge, we saw "the bridge" sell out to k-Love, and there are places that have supported two main Christian Stations, in this market what is your opinion?
Southeast of New Orleans – and you probably didn’t know there was much land down there – EMF pays $10,000 for the currently-silent KMRL, Buras LA at 91.9. It’s licensed as a Class A (3-kw at 164 feet) but has a construction permit to become a C2 - 14.5-kw at 656 feet, in an extremely low-lying area that’s basically Mississippi Delta land. That CP could bring KMRL closer to the population center of New Orleans. EMF is buying the property from Dove Fellowship.
