New Cin'ti Station Approved

I see a new Class A station is approved for Miamitown on 88.9. Licensed to Spryex Corp, controlled by a William Spry. Is this the same guy whose pirate station WILB in West Chester was shut down a few years ago by the FCC? I remember hearing it for several months, read some stuff in the paper about him having a crusade against the FCC, then it got unplugged. Didn't he also get cited by the FCC for some kinda telephone solicitation scam? I'm amazed that the FCC approved this. Maybe the paperwork didn't give a clue to this history or they didn't do a background check. Jake

Even if it is who cares now. Apparently he/she now played by the rules and jumped thru the hoops. Look at the positive..its a new station on the air! :) If its a non com there is a board of directors not just one guy running things. From what I see this is a Great signal with great coverage. It will be good to hear it on the air. BTW - If the FCC did background checks on owners many stations would be turned off!! I highly doubt the FCC would take you serious on threats against someone they approved and played by the rules they, the FCC, told to play by. I'm amazed you came in here slamming a new station to come on the air. Its a good thing not a bad thing. Maybe you have a personal score to settle with someone there? :- Just looks odd why your slamming someone.

Wow, someone saying the FCC is not doing their job? What's your title & who are you? Pretty bold, don't you think? FCC is pretty strict on their rules & there must be more behind the story than the judgement calls that goes on all the time behind this gossip board. They say women are bad at the hair salon. Go figure. The chic who knows.

Bruce Quinn was a long time pirate in Indiana. He owns WMRS in Monticello, IN and until recently owned a station in the Indianapolis market (WKLU)

JEALOUS HAMILTONJAKE! :'( Don't go throwing stones in glass houses!Did some research HamiltonJake ( it is obvious you didn't do). Spry went off the air himself. The FCC did not pull him off. Confirmed by FCC. Spry was not "cited" by the FCC for a scam either. Nice that the FCC records are open. As I said before look as if you have some kind of problem with the man or jealous because he worked hard to get a station.I wish Spry and his group best of luck. I am sure there is a board or group of people behind him on the west side where the station will be strongest.Looks like it should cover the tri-state area pretty well. FYI - there have been many pirates in the past to then go on and get a full power station. Bruce Quinn was just one of them.My guess is HamiltonJake came in here to slam someone he had run ins with and won't be back. ::)
