NEW Classic Country station in Youngstown, OH

There's a new "Farm" in Youngstown, Ohio

WRTK (1540) buyer Chris Lash says “my family are all farmers in and around Pittsburgh, so the format and name came from my many days working alongside my cousins and uncles, while listening to the radio in the barn.” The new format for WRTK, Niles, OH is classic country, under an LMA that begins today ahead of Lash and his wife Kathy acquiring WRTK and WANR (1570) from Beacon Broadcasting. The two stations had been simulcasting a Fox Sports Radio-based format, and WANR continues in that vein. The new “Farm” is already streaming online, continuing after the daytime-only WRTK must sign off. The stream is here at www.youngstownscountrylegends.com

Keep in mind that this is a daytime only station that signs off at sunset so they don't even operate 24/7 like most stations do and their coverage isn't that great either.

On another note, the same owners Classic Top 40 station in Warren flipped to Adult Standards on March 22.

You aren't gonna take over the market from two small 500 watt AMers without full market coverage. I'm sure Chris is well aware of that. :D

And now it's gone again. This time flipped to Spanish language.

I can't say I'm surprised. I just found out that both they and 1570 were going to be sold. I wonder what's in store for 1570? Does Youngstown have a significant Spanish speaking population to justify such a station?
