Rest of Louisiana New Classic Rock station in Alexandria

That was my thought process. As I know many in Cenla complain that there is no one playing newer rock.. just like BR where 98.1 is playing are we mainstream/heritage/ or classic rocker this week.

The issue with newer rock is that it's very splintered. There's not a large enough consensus for current based rock in most markets. Eagle's evolution is actually interesting, how they balance eras, and I don't think they do a bad job for what they have to work with.
My argument is like what is happening at Eagle 98.1.. unless you plan on staying with older demos, you have to expand as groups like Blink 182, Papa Roach, and Linkin Park are now at the magical 25 year point. And im guessing doing more of a heritage like I hear in Midwestern markets would be a way to split yourself from your competition.
105.5 is apparently just running a package format station. 96.9 is still live and local .

I’m definitely not a fan of KZMZ‘s music mix, however, the new KBKK format is more of the same worn out classic rock that any cookie cutter classic rock station is playing. Agree with you, RFLA on 90s and 2000s rock now being "classic" ". Chris Logan on Planet Radio in Lafayette regularly makes this point during The Morning Show when people bring up the topic and I couldn’t agree more. I’m 47 and aside from stations like Planet Radio, no one in the area is playing rock music directly for my demo, and I'm smack in the demo. While I appreciate that Eagle is shifting, the classic rock mixed in is an instant button push for me.
