New Coke Ad!!

Why are they climbing on the tower face when clearly there is a ladder available? ;D

It's funny and true too...I had a tower climber that wouldn't use the ladder...would rather do it the hard way!

The biggest discrepancy I see is that the tower they climb is quite different from the tower pictured in the beginning and end. The tower they climb has another tower next to it and just those lightning dissipation "brushes" up top with not much else attached. The tower pictured at the beginning and end has one of those triple condelabra type mounts meant to hold multiple antennas, such as 3 different tv antennas.

at the end they are on one side of the mount that looks like a candebra thing...

there are no antennas on the tower

There's been some discussion of this on other lists. From what I've read, the closeups of the "tower climbers" were done on a sound stage in Hollywood, in front of a green screen, with the actors on a short section of "tower".

The long shots were probably real tower guys, dressed like the actors, and that is a real tower somewhere in the DFW area.

Only in Hollywood would you have a couple of guys climb a tower with no antenna or much of anything else on it, carrying no visible tools, just to swing around on their harness and drink a pop....

indeed this tower IS near the DFW area; north of Fort Worth actually. It's the VERY tall KMEO 96.7, KICM 93.7, and KKDL 106.7. Total height: right at 2,000 feet.

and Zach ? It makes me wanna climb one of them suckers! There's 3 of em over here very close to one another, close to me in NC that are 2,000ft. Sorry, Coke aint my drink, Pepsi is. :p
