US 95.7 is now New Country 95.7
radiode said:KPRI, (102.1), and KLQV, (102.9), negotiated an agreement with XHUAN-FM, (102.5), and the Mexican SCT to allow KQLV to go non-directional and for KPRI to relocate to the same antenna, also non-directional. XHUAN-FM also agreed to reduce power from 32.8 kW @ 265.2m to 4 kW @238m.
There was some discussion years ago about trying to negotiate the same kind of agreement with the Mexican station which limits 95.7, but CC Corporate was never very interested.

It's a slogan, not just a phrase.

It's also a mistake to take on the amount of promotional and talent money JP and now LFC were/are willing to spend to protect the franchise. KCBQ tried it, Art tried it, but no one has ever been able to take out the legend. When Tony and Kris went over to US 95 they had a good chance to do some damage, but they didn't get the support from the mother ship they needed to make a real run at it. That's not their fault, it's the way things are where they landed.
KSON was weakened when T&K moved, but responded with an all out "We're not giving up on this" war. The result is the folks that have always been on top prevailed. And will continue to do so. T&K are good at what they do, but not as good as the team assembled they left behind. In the big picture. Ya' know?
And that's all I have to say about that.

Here's an idea, how about live jocks rather than voicetracking after 10AM...?
