New Country Station

I don't get to DC much but I heard a new country station when I was in Northern Virginia...WFLS. Sounded real good better than WMZQ. There was a young lady in morning drive I think her name was Jessica. She sounded good. Does anyone have info on the station and her?

WFLS is owned by the Fredericksburg daily newspaper The Free Lance Star (which has carved out a very nice niche given the dying state of print newspapers). FLS is a full class-B in Stafford Co., which makes reception of that station pretty good in Northern VA, Southern MD, and Washington proper.

Free Lance Star also owns 2 other music FMs, and the former WFLS-AM, which is now talk on an FM translator on 96.5. All three local radio companies (Telemedia, Centennial, and FLS) have very good quality stations for the small-ish size of the market, considering the crap that is put out by 90% of DC metro and Richmond stations. And none have been sold out to the big media conglomerates yet...a BIG deal in a rated market this size.
