New CP in Montgomery

If the CP is relaying HD, I doubt it would be the Tiger. To the best of my knowledge, Tiger Communications doesn't do HD radio.

As a result of this WQSI, when flipped to 95.9, will be stronger in Auburn/Opelika, and almost non existant in Montgomery, and 93.9 The Tiger will be decent in Auburn/Opelika, and existant only if being listened to on a car radio. I can hear 93.9 with a fair signal from Prattville to Troy

Aren't Al Stroh's two translators for The Ticket and The River already located on WNCF's tower on Harrison Road? Maybe it's another for him?

That is a Pinnacle tower - everyone and their brother has space on that tower.

Everyone except WNCF. Picking up ABC over the air in the middle of Montgomery is tough. WBMM doesn't help.

WNCF USED to broadcast WNCF-DT on Channel 51 from that tower from 2004 to late 2008/early 2009. With the Big Switch, the low power HDTV signal went dark, and just their STL and microwave link for the live truck are up there (oh, and the twice killed by lightning Skycam). Alabama WiNet has a WISP up there, Stroh has one (two?) translators up there, WQKS-FM, Bluewater's STL relay for 1170, and some other stuff is up there as well (defunct Nextel analog cell site, old equipment for Montgomery County EMS radio, etc). It has recently been strengthened twice (2003 for WNCF-DT and again in 2009) and repainted (2004). I can tell you there's a hell of a view up there, but it's no fun in Summer when the Wasps and Yellowjackets are active. I think one day we're gonna look at that tower and it'll be all black instead of DayGlo Orange and white because of all the coax clogging it up.
