I've said it before, you need a 2 person morning radio team in this market, if not every market. Let's re-evaluate after 6 months.

All due respect..VanNess is incredibly boring and Meredith just rambles on and on about nothing. I think it's a horrible move if they really have any hopes for the station. It just proves to me that they're not really putting any effort into making a good radio station. They're hoping the music will do the job. Ellen Rockwell on afternoons. She hasn't done radio in over five years. They're doing the same thing with Crush that they did with the Buzz....hoping for the best but doing nothing to make it happen.

I agree with the mornnigs...I couldn't listen to Mark. I heard of few of Meredith's breaks and I thought to myself "I can do this!"

As far as Ellen, who cares if she's been out for more than 5 years. Her passion is there, her spark is there, why not?

It is too bad about mornings at Crush. As far as Ellen goes, I don't mean disrespect, it's just that she hasn't been on the air for a very long time. Who knows if she still has the "spark" as you put it. And who knows about the passion too. Being on the air isn't like riding a bike....if you don't keep up with the times, then who knows what will happen. An awful lot has changed in radio in the past five years, that's all I'm saying. Just being Ellen Rockwell doesn't mean it will be good. I'll hope it goes okay, but so far I don't have high hopes for the station in terms of it's jocks.

Let's all breathe and see what happens in 6 months. I don't know Mike Morgan that well, BUT I have a feeling that if something doens't work, he will make it work! IE: Let's say Mark and Meredith fail misreably, there are others out there that will not.

Mike Morgan also hasn't been in programming for many years. The industry has changed quite a bit while he was selling advertising up north. I don't see anything good about Crush. Just more of the same and more retreading of people who haven't done the job in years.
