There's going to be a lot of overlap with KCWX then, right? And I'd guess My will show up on KTBC-DT.

So what's Clear Channel going to do? Clear Channel owned WJTC-44 in Pensacola, and since WBPG is getting it, that means WJTC will end up Independent. Clear Channel owns KASN-38 Little Rock, WLYH-15 Harrisburg, and WLMT-30/WJKT-16 Memphis/Jackson. The last two are lone UPN stations (no WB in the market) and the WB in Little Rock is going to MyNet.

And there are more stations Clear Channel owns/controls. Might Clear Channel split and take some CW and some MyNet?

All primary UPNs owned by Clear Channel:

WTTX-LP Elmira, NY (MyNet confirmed to WJKP-LP)
WLYH-15 Harrisburg, PA
KASN-38 Pine Bluff/Little Rock, AR (MyNet confirmed to KWBF-42)
WLMT-30 Memphis, TN
WJKT-16 Jackson, TN
WJTC-44 Pensacola, FL (MyNet confirmed to WFGX-35, CW to WBPG-55)
KTFO-41 Tulsa, OK (CW confirmed to KWBT-19)
KSCC-36 Wichita, KS (CW confirmed to KSCW-33)

All primary WBs owned by Clear Channel:

KWFB(C) Bakersfield, CA
KUWB-30 Salt Lake City, UT (confirmed CW)
WBWT(C) Watertown, NY

Also owned by Clear Channel:

WAWS-30 Jacksonville, FL Fox/UPN (CW confirmed to WJWB-17)

Not really. KCWX's signal is weak there and doesn't have full cable coverage in the market.

Just speculating...it's possible CC is interested in neither since it has let several larger markets go. It only manages a couple of WB affiliates -- mostly cable WB+ ones it picked up when it bought a local broadcast station. So, it doesn't seem like it was a big fan of the WB model -- and the CW is basically using the same model in terms of compensation and schedule (25 hours of afternoon and prime time programming + Saturday kids block). Although, CC has warehoused a couple of CW-ish call letters on some of its smaller satellite TV stations in Kansas and Oregon...

Most of CC's non-big 4 outlets are UPN outlets. My is a lot closer to UPN in terms of schedule commitment (UPN: 10 hours of programming over 5 nights; My: 12 over 6). I suspect My is going to have problems -- it's launching essentially with 2 shows. As we've seen over and over on ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, UPN, and the WB each fall and spring, the success rate of new series is terribly low with only a small few out of all the dozens of new shows being successful. Launching with only 2 shows -- and making them serialized so people have to tune in nightly -- seems like a tough way to launch. Maybe CC has calculated the chance of success of that strategy is not great and it can go it alone since all they have to do is fill 2 hours of weeknight programming if they went independent.

Actually, WLMT 30 in Memphis carries WB after 10 PM and on Sunday nights. I'd think that they will end up with CW, and that since CC also owns WJKT 16 in Jackson, TN and they simulcast a lot in non-network times, that they could end up with CW as well, although WB has a 100+ station on Charter Cable in Jackson.

CC/Tulsa (Was: Re: KNVA? Clear Channel?)

KTFO is one half of a duopoly, with the other half being Fox affiliate KOKI-23. With Griffin's KWBT going CW, and with CC/Tulsa's association with NewsCorp already established, KTFO going MyNetwork seems logical.<P ID="signature">______________

Broadcasting & Cable reports that Clear Channel`s signed 3 stations to the CW, namely the digital channel of CBS affiliate WKRC in Cincy, current UPN outlet KASN in Little Rock, Ark. & current WB KUWB in Salt Lake City.
