Well, I read on U.S Dance Radio---(GREAT NEW LOOK--BTW), that we now have another Dance Intensive station in Saginaw Michigan, 100.5 THE BEAT.. Has this been discussed here yet? I wasnt aware that we had another Dance station until yesterday. Is this a Pure Dance station, or a Rhythmic Hip Hop--Dance Friendly?

Based on what I know about the PD, I'm guessing it'll be geared more toward hiphop. The new PD is Tommy Frank, who just left U93 in South Bend IN, and previously was also PD at Hot 107.9/WJFX in Fort Wayne.

Ok, after a brief review, I stand corrected. It's actually a mixture of dance and hiphop, a la Party Orlando or Q96.9 Toledo. As to what they're playing exactly, I haven't a clue... there's supposed to be a playlist for the station on yes.net but I wasn't able to get to it. (Had to find it under the Flint MI heading using the old calls - WXQL).
Edited by Matt K. on 10/14/05 08:27 PM.

WTBT Playlist

Ok, after messing around with stoneage.yes.net (got the new WTBT calls to work, as well), I viewed what's supposed to be their top 10 most played:

1. Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha
2. Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart
3. Mariah - Shake It Off
4. Rihanna - Pon De Replay
5. Lucas Prata - And She Said
6. Kelly Osbourne - One Word
7. Stonebridge - Put Em High
8. Ciara - Oh
9. Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You
10. Mariah - We Belong Together

Some of the gold cuts I noticed included stuff like "I'll Be Loving You" by Collage, "Crush On You" by The Jets, "If It Isn't Love" by New edition, "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder, and "100% Pure Love" by Crystal Waters. I read on another board where someone assessed the playlist as being very KTU-like... I'd say that's pretty fair.

I haven't an idea as to how many of these are remixes or not (the dance tracks should be obvious). Hopefully someone with more info or within earshot of the station can lend some help.
