Also next Tuesday. The Ultimate Petticoat Junction comes out from MPI Video, consisting of 20 of the first 21 Black And White Episodes from the 1963-64 first season of Petticoat Junction. (The Christmas Episode will be on a Beverly Hillbillies/PJ Christmas DVD to be released October 25). Authorized by the Estate of series creator Paul Henning..Exras include:

Introductions by Linda Kaye Henning (Betty Jo Bradley)of each episode

Several cast commercials for Sponsor Proctor And Gamble

History Of Hooterville-A New 45 minute documentary with recollections from several cast members including Frank Cady (Sam Drucker) and Charles Lane (Homer Bedloe)

Color CBS Network Promo

An appearance by PJ star Bea Benaderet with Art Linkletter on "Hollywood Talent Scouts" from April 11, 1966 talking about the show..(about 3-4 minutes)

This all sounds very good..The episodes themselves are quite rare though a few turn up on Public Domain VHS/DVD with different music in the opening credits..

I picked up a copy of Emergency! last week. I was impressed with the video quality considering the episodes from season one date back to 1972. They must have done some remastering.

The quality was quite good on all of the Jack Webb shows DVDs that Universal has released so far. The Dragnet 1967, Adam-12, and Emergency! DVDs look much better than what I have seen on TV.<P ID="signature">______________
