New England Sports Ventures

The NY Times Co. is selling their 17% stake in New England Sports Ventures (Red Sox, Fenway Park and 80% of NESN) (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/25/business/media/25times.html?hp).

Does anyone think another media company (National Amuseuments, News Corp., perhaps) may be interested?

I would imagine Comcast would be greatly intested in the NESN piece. They'd probably offer to create, brand and run one single New England sports super network with two channels showing with C's,B's and Sox and use the second channel primarily for any game conflicts.
