New Entry as of 1/11/2013

And this was the result of the massive power outage covering the entire island part of Newfoundland and Labrador due to the major storm that struck St. John's and the Avalon. I briefly got in the early daylight hours (around 8:30 or 9:00 am here) CJYE AM 1250 of Oakville, Ontario (serving the Greater Toronto Area), as CFGN 1230 was off the air. I think there was something coming in on 1260 (but getting more or less chewed out by CJCB 1270 Sydney) but never was able to stay with it long enough to figure that out.

CJYE is a Class B station operating at 10,000 watts. Also got some of my usual nighttime stations in those early daylight moments (WCBS for example). Our lights came back on sometime after 1 pm today.

Personally speaking, I've never had anything appear on between 1230 and 1270 until this morning.
