New ESPN and ESPN 2 Bottomline

Flipped on the TV and saw ESPN and ESPN 2 have new bottomlines. They look clean one new feature is they show the sports icon. Example MLB showing the logo then going into news about the sport. Im sure this updated bottomline is go to with the new line ESPNEWS got not to long ago. Also to add on Sportscenter the run down graphic is now on the left instead of the right.

If true, then they are patterned exactly after the ESPNews "bottom line". I wonder why they made the change. I bet it costs some amount of money to keep more than one "line" going, I guess...

They must've recieved a bunch of whining from some fans who hate it; I saw the new line during the ESPN game an hour ago, and now the old version is back all the sudden. I like the new one a whole lot better since it shows just a smidge more of the video image.

I didn't mind the old one but this new one will be fine and we will get used to it. The old one was only around like 5 years just about. Here is a look at the black line one ESPN used to use before that red one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhHOy3FYtvs It wasn't to bad modern for that time ESPN used it. Text didn't move right to left or the score flip.
