The scary thing is that any game show that tapes outside of New York or LA only seems to last one season. It's almost a curse.

First off, the big thing that is changing this season, the podiums on the show, it's no longer an eggcrate but rather a podium with clear glass. It's like you got a bit of the Louie Anderson/Richard Karn (The part where families have their poses) and John O'Hurley, being mixed onto a nightclub. I really give a big iffy if this show stays past next season.

I'm willing to give anyone a chance, however I have trouble thinking of Steve Harvey as a good game show host. But some people who have seen the show say he had great interaction with the contestants. So maybe I'll be wrong. I still have an odd feeling about it though.

Great. Now because of you they are going to have to switch to a four digit display. They are going to make you personally pay for that. ;D

Aside from the point displays, they haven't displayed money amounts in the last few years.

More and more scores are shown on plasma screens now anyway.

(Frankly I am surprised that this show still plugs along. How many survey questions can one think of, to ask?)

Still several to ask.
Like how many ways one can access the internet today, (ie cell phone, home computer, laptop, internet cafe, etc)

And many more if one puts their mind to it!
Recycling old questions, but applying them to modern times is still ok too, like "How much would you pay for a car today?" (to name one good example.)

I suppose I was asking that question based on what I saw during the Combs era...they actually asked the same survey Q three separate times (name an animal you might see rummaging through your garbage can).

Also the staff is good at "re-phrasing" common questions like "Name a food rich people eat" into "Name a food that most people don't eat, but Donald Trump is likely to eat every day."

Yes I like it when they do ask modern questions.

But FF's ratings for the last 10 years have not exactly gone thru the roof, have they?

(And I'm afraid they'll still have the $5 a point deal, as I have read nothing otherwise. I guess *that's* what is keeping them afloat....they sure didn't have a lotta fast-money winners last year. AND.....often the #1 Fast Money answer has 20 or less people saying it; think about it, ya gotta *average* 20 per question to reach the 200, so how can ya win?)

The one thing I think they do rght is of kep the elements of the previous sets and to revert he prize back to $20K. Other than that, I'm not looking too happy for the show.

Feud has one good thing going for it. It's fun to play along with at home. I think that is what keeps it alive.

And that's EXACTLY the same element that made the CBS version of "The Match Game" the hottest thing on network daytime TV.

That...plus...it really "pushed the envelope" regarding content.
