New Fan Lineup

According to Bob Smizik, Chris Mueller will move from late evenings to mid day drive with Josh Miller and Joe Starkey.

Colin Dunlap gets the 10-2 shift.

I am somewhat surprised. I thought they might go with Scott Ferrall then.

Stupid. Build a good two-person afternoon show and save a salary. There's no money to be made from 10 pm to 2 am, so just take the network.

At least they put Dunlap on past my bedtime.

I can tolerate Mueller in the afternoons, I guess, but during his "tryout" a couple of weeks ago, I thought the show turned into The Chris Mueller Show with guests Starkey and Miller.

The same thing happened when Colin worked with them.

Not that there's a comparison to be made, but CBS' new "Fan" in Tampa already put Rome and Ferrall on FM.

Big difference in that Pittsburgh has a 3-share and the Pirates, and in Tampa they have a .4, and the Rays just renewed with Clear Channel.

RE: Today's interview on The Fan 93.7

Ray,

In the future, when doing an interview with our flagship radio station,
please refrain from telling the hosts that you just answered that same
question on the David Todd show yesterday!
DOH!

Thanks for your cooperation, J.T.

I don't understand it. Why won't they put Scott Ferrall on the schedule? He's from Pittsburgh, and he's made it know that he wants to be on The Fan. From what I've heard from some folks is that he is pissed that he's not on in his hometown.

So far they are only putting network shows on their otherwise live-and-local FM's if the ratings are really in the tank, such as Tampa where they are clearing Rome, Ferrall, and overnights.

I noticed this past weekend that CBS Sports radio is using Greg Gianotti not just locally here in Pittsburgh, but as a weekend national host as well.

I like Greg's national show a lot.

This morning's salacious little routine with Alexander and some comic reading
pornographic tweets from some football player with an IQ of 47....definitely NOT
their finest hour.
