New Fly92 Ratings MIA

Where are the recent Arbitron 12+ ratings for WGTZ, Fly 92? They don't show in the latest ratings. I highly doubt they fell completely off the map.

Mainline is not subscribing to Arbitron so the numbers are not posted for public view

Thanks for the reply Allfirdup, but I doubt that could be the reason. I believe Arbitron's public releases do include non-subscribers. An example would be WVKO-AM in Columbus. The restriction is that the non-subscribers' salespeople can't cite Arbitron numbers.

I wonder if FLY92 was caught using the numbers for selling? But that usually gets the whole market embargoed i.e., 12+ ratings completely unavailable to the trades.

The Arbitron ratings (including the latest trends) are loaded with stations that aren't Arbitron customers. If Cumulus, and now maybe CC, carry through on their threats to stop subscribing in markets 101+, their stations in those markets will not disappear from the publically-available ratings. But Arbitron might stop doing ratings entirely in some of the markets if they become unprofitable.

Actually, there are some markets where only the subscribers' numbers were released (St. Cloud, Minnesota, comes to mind).

Interesting.  I guess in some markets, for some reason, Arbitron will do this kind of "semi-embargo" rather doing a full-blown embargo.

Also curious that R&R lists the incomplete Dayton Spring '08 12+ ratings, while Arbitron's website fully omits them.  Radio-Info has the note "Spring '08 ratings withheld for publication by Arbitron ," but then does show the same shortened Spring listing as R&R.

BTW, a little quick Googling turned up one reference to a "selective embargo" in Syracuse early last year:
