New FM for WCGW 770

Great...there goes any chance of ever being able to pick up WAKW out of Cincy again. These translators are beginning to get a bit out of hand.

Well, you're way out of their service contour. Should we start protecting the 40 DBU? K Love does a great job or WAKW does stream....

Used to come in fine here in northern Fayette before the translator. All I'm saying is that the FM band is getting a little crowded here in Lex metro and the FCC is consistently granting more and more CPs for new translators right here in Lexington. Plus, it makes it harder for people to DX on certain frequencies.

I get all of that. Just wait. Things will get real congested, if the commission starts granting FMTs for all AMs.

Receiving AKW outside of their service contour was a bonus for you that the average person did not enjoy. The station is a good one and covers what it is licensed to cover. You can't cover the world. The translator isn't breaking any rules.

I never said it was breaking rules. I simply made a comment that the new translator now makes it impossible for me to pull in 93.3 out of Cincinnati. That's it.

Understand that, sometimes I would pull in 94.9 when it was WSWD in Fairfield/Cincy. Even in HD.

Oh, i know that you weren't saying that. Just offering up a discussion on the FM spacing and where it's heading.
