New FM part 15 hitting the air soon!

Please bear with the typing as everyone knows webtv doesn't show up well on here....just read along!.....
I've been building the antennas and coils for the AM sstran, and these transmitters are very successful!....But everyone seems to be interested in part 15 FM......in my circumstances, I thought it would be a good idea to experiment with a part 15 transmitter of my choice........................
I looked for the past two years and I have chosen a few components which I feel will be the best choices>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I've chosen to test the EDM 100EP..which is a 100mW transmitter.......taken down, it is a legal transmitter for part 15am. However I am in a weird situation where I need to take it down to legal power, about 10mW.................
I'm also in a weird situation where I can not place an antenna outside in view. So I've chosen a rubber duckie antenna, capable of 10 watts, but only 7 inches tall, from Machwave in Canada.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The installation will be from inside my house; therefore, if the power is a little bit on the high side, be assured the house (metal!) will shield it.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The most important part of this report is that, given that the antenna will be tuned exactly to my frequency, and the transmitter is solid state, I hope to cover the immediate area with a very solid signal. Like I said, the transmitter will be sheilded, and not elevated or outside the house; thereby lies the fun of the experiment.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I know there are some readers that are very local, so should you be travelling in the northeast PA area and hear "classic rock" on the air at 97.7FM, that could be my station.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I only expect a scant "less than a mile" signal, but I do sit atop a mountain and the height could help this signal.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This is really for those of you who have been looking at FM part 15 broadcasting; I'm testing it for New Jersey Radio Museum; and we plan to remain legal. I will let you know how this experiment turns out.

Is the unit you are testing FCC part 15 type accepted?
If not are you going to get a RF engineer to check
radiated field strength to ensure compliance with
allowed field strength and spurs? I would reccommend
using inexpensive FCC part 15 accepted gear such
as Panaxis AC100 see
www.progressive-concepts.com/info/item.html?id=71

Note mono FM transmission will cover larger are because
of quieting with smaller recieved signal for most modern
FM receivers. Most will switch off stero in absence the
stero subcarrier yielding 3 yto 6 db additional queiting.

Good luck,
John Anderson
