New FM radio station

I picked up 94.7 FM here in fall river, MA and is it a new station? Call letters are unknown at this time.

radio-locator says no 94.7 licensed in MA or RI.

there is tropo ducting this week, WJGO Tice/Fort Myers Florida was picked up in NJ the other day, and I can tell you that is about a thousand mile "skip"

or it is just another illegal operator...

Maybe WMAS 94.7 licensed to Enfield CT but serving Springfield area? Maybe them? I know it said Fall River, but...

If you're picking it up in only one place like your home it could be someone with a mini FM transmitter. For awhile 88.5 in Beverly--specificially nr the intersection of
Rantoul and Federal Streets--was doing one of the XM-Sirius Howard Stern channels, including late at night...

Another time I was driving on I-91 nr Holyoke and Opie and Anthony (this was awhile ago) was popping up somewhere on the FM dial, probably from a nearby car or truck that was using such a device
Products like this, or others for slightly lower prices, in stores:
