New FM station coming to Delaware

According to a news release I saw on Facebook today, Delaware is getting a new educational FM station, centered in Kent county.

WDDE will be an NPR affiliate. It is owned by Salisbury State Foundation. 21-hundred watts and located outsdie of Woodbridge.

The target on-air date is this summer.

WDDE has been on the air for almost a year and, as I was told, sold off by Salisbury already to a local Dover group. I know of them being on the air because when the bad opens up, they create a very big problem for WHFC 91.1 at Harford College in Bel Air.

It will have connections to Del State University and the UofD but will be owned by another group. Saw the news on the Facebook Wilmington radio group. I had not heard about the station previously.
