New format at KFZX

I don't know when this occurred (there aren't very many postings from the Permean basin on this board and I live in Phoenix, AZ) but today, when I was checking out the stream for KFZX-FM in Garden City (near Odessa), TX, I heard a classic hits format. The stream ID'ed itself as "The Eagle 102.1," and there is a new website at

102.1 The Eagle

102.1 The Eagle is a radio station located in Odessa, Texas, in the the United States. The station broadcasts on 102.1 FM, and is popularly known as Classic Rock Radio. The station is owned by ICA Radio and offers a Classic Rock format.

to which the previous websites are referring. While I'm not a complete fan of the classic hits format (50s-70s oldies are more my style), it was nice to hear that KMCM-FM now has some format competition.

I guess that makes sense if KBAT (if I remember correctly) went the classic rock direction a good time ago
 
Looks like they flipped from "Classic Rock 102" to "102.1 the Eagle" last month on December 9.
