They've had lots of transmitter issues the last few years but they have been on pretty consistently for a while now. According to Arbitron they were Rhythmic Oldies.

When they came on the air (late '50's?) they were country WPUP and then Top 40 as WUWU which did pretty well until 24/7 WGGG took over the Top 40 crowd. WDVH successfully switched to country but not sure how successful 1390 was after that.

WGGG is still listed on the WMOP website - www.espngo1.com - as the ESPN Radio affiliate for Gainesville.
