I heard from several sources (don't know if it is true) that a station in okc will flip to urban ac after the new year. has anyone else heard about this?

I once read that it was because the demographics in OKC don't support an urban formatted station. Thats why KKWD has always been far more mainstream than most rhythmics. It doesn't make sense because Tulsa has 2 stations and they have about the same percentage of African-Americans as OKC has.
X-Man said:According to Arbitron from their website, the Black population in OKC percentage wise is close to 10% Black and Tulsa is around 8%. I say both markets are large enough to do an Urban format. As far as KKWD they were doing well before hand, but I had a hunch that the higher ups at the station were making changes and stupid decisions causing the station to go down. I don't think they're too high on the format either. So it should be interesting whoever takes over KKWD along with KINB as to whether they'll keep the Wild's format or change it, which I would hate to see and it would not surprise me if that happened.
