New Fox 5 website is coming soon - My Fox Atlanta

Fox 5 is getting a new website soon: myfoxatlanta.comIt is part of Fox's new local portals they are creating under their new Fox Interactive Media division. Apparently, they are doing this in all of their markets where there is a Fox O&O. They are beta testing the site in Boston right now http://www.myfoxboston.comThis will fail. Remember Cox Interactive Media, and how they consolidated all of their newspaper, radio, and TV websites together under one roof as a portal site (in Atlanta, it was the original AccessAtlanta.com). It backfired on Cox, and Cox Interactive Media was shut down in 2002. What Fox is doing now just reeks of this. What gets me more is why not just use the current URL, fox5atlanta.com (The original URL was wagatv.com). You will have to heavily adverise the new site (hopefully, not like 11 Alive and CBS 46, which has their URL's in their station logos). This will backfire. They should have learned from Cox and the other failures of the dot-com era, and not create a full-blown portal.
