New Fox 8 tower

I have found out that the new Fox tower south of Greensboro has both the analog and HD antennas on it and the old tower is used as a backup tower with the old analog antenna and the low power HD antenna that was used before the new tower went on line. The new tower has main and backup antennas for both analog and HD as well as the old channel 8 and low power HD antenna on the old tower (TWO SETS OF THREE ANTENNAS FOR EACH STATION!!). The analog was turned on in late March of last year and the HD was turned on in late August of last year. Fox is going back to channel 8 for HD when the analog transmitter turns off.

Was curious, since Channel 8 moved to the new tower, have they enjoyed much of a significant signal gain? I grew up in the triad and remember seeing the old tower down off of US 311 near Hwy 220. I always recall their transmitter being very much shorter than Channel 2's stick just up Hwy 220. How much taller is the new Fox 8 tower?
 
The new tower is right beside the old tower and it looks to be the same height. I don't think they can go higher because of channel 9 in Charlotte and channel 8 in Morehead City and channel 7 in Roanoke.
 
The FAA website says that the new tower is 380.4 meters high and the old tower is 382.7 meters high. but both towers are 619.5 meters above sea level. Looks to me that the tops are the same height but one is a little taller due to different ground elevation.

It doesn't look like any radio is on it. Enjoy analog TV. You only have about 2 years to go. On the bright side, all of those Canadian and Mexican channel 2's will come pouring in here after channel 2 turns off the analog transmitter!
