I think the new Free Fm sites are VERY good looking.....BUT......I believe that the local CBS RADIO stations will not be able to make substantial $$ with it (which could become a MAJOR problem)
case in point: CBS Philly radio has to pay for streaming bandwidth that is being used by listeners out of market. do local advertisers really want to pay for that listener? maybe CBS corporate will sell these streams to national advertisers ? does CBS corporate have the software to make sure that the LOCAL spots are only heard by LOCAL listeners ?
on another note, i am pleased that i can now listen to Adam Carolla and Tom Leykis on the CBS radio Los Angeles stream...... http://971freefm.com/
thus, when i am listening to carolla and leykis, i am NOT listening to barsky and kidd chris.
think the CBS brass can figure out how to build a new business model around these ground breaking changes ?
