New Freestyle Mixshow

Can somebody help a geezer out and define "freestyle" and maybe give me some examples? Thanks.

I have it on, and I must say this mixing is pretty good.

Wasn't freestyle back in the 80s and 90s? I don't know if an era that recent qualifies as "music history."
In which case the audience would have older kids now and probably isn't making an appointment to listen to music they danced to in their youth on the radio on a Sunday evening. Or am I missing something?

Let's not forget to also thank KXTN for REALLY KEEPING it San Antonio. They're proudly carrying on a tradition that was born and bred in San Antonio and has lasted generations.

Probably a bit premature but based on the number of Facebook comments, it appears a lot of peeps enjoyed the Sunday evening mixshow.

Side note: I read on the New York board that KTU and Party 105 have both added Freestyle back to their playlist.
