New GM at WROX/Clarksdale

Kevin Dugan, mostly recently with WMC-AM/Memphis, joins WROX-AM/WKXY-FM in Clarksdale, MS as General Manager. Dugan previously worked in Clarksdale as Operations Manager of WAID-FM in the late 70s/early 80s. "It's great to be back in Clarksdale," Dugan said. "WROX is a legendary radio station and I look forward to re-establishing some local programming and putting WROX back on the map."

The stations are owned by Delta Radio, LLC, headed by Larry Fuss. "The stations have a new studio facility just one-half block from the historical "Crossroads" in Clarksdale. All we needed was a GM to head-up the operation and we're glad to have Kevin aboard," Fuss said.

Hopefully Kevin can turn things around there for you Larry

How far away are you from getting KXY up to full power? Will you keep them as a Simulcast?

Is Radio Cleveland even selling in Clarksdale anymore? When I've been close enough to hear KDJ or AID there is never any spots.

If not that should make it easier... they definately have no local presense there now.

Anyone have the scoop on the CP for 95.5 signal that's going up between HWY1 & the Levee West of Farrell??

I believe the company owned or owns tv stations in Phoenix..

I see Lt Simes got a CP for 98.7 at Friars Point in June so I guess it will be a Mono Tri-cast now?
in the early 90's I stuck my head in the door at KCLT and it looked like a bad mess then.. barely had a working studio.

interesting.

hey Larry - some friends of mine might contact you, if they haven't already.

;D
curmudgeon in training.

92.1 has a CP for 4,000 Watts at 100 meters.

That 95.5 had a CP granted on 04/01/2005
