New GM for WUEV/Evansville: Brandon Gaudin

I wrote last month that Mike Crawley had departed WUEV, and now the University has announced his replacement, Brandon Gaudin.

Attended Butler, and apparently worked some Bulldogs games. Anyone remember the name?

Wasn't WUEV once a well respected and run radio station that employed UE students. Why wasn't a UE student considered for the job. I never even saw this job posted. I wish him the best of luck, but. again, I thought WUEV trained studnets. It is sad to see that students are no longer allowed to broadcast UE men's games.

Even non-commercial stations know that radio makes money for the non-commercial entity.

Sadly, this was a no-brainer.

New GM is 24. 24? May qualify him to announce games, but to run a station? What is UE thinking. I thought one would need a graduate degree as well????

This statement represents a "guess," based on information gained, not a fact.

Gaudin's age is irrelevant. He simply executes whatever UE wants. From what I have read and heard elsewhere, UE seems to be pulling the marionette strings on WUEV.

Guess that is why no UE alums were considered. Wow.Was there a search? Should the job have been posted?

Technically it should have been posted. After the post appeared on this board that the position was open, I tried to find the position on the UE website and didn't see it. It must have been hidden.
