New graphics and theme song for Galavision's Mexican soccer coverage

Tonight on Galavision's telecast of Monterrey vs. Santos, new (well, not totally new, see next paragraph) graphics and music were implemented, an improvement over the old imaging. I'm sure Univision and Telefutura, Galavision's sisters, will use the same imaging on soccer this year.

I say not totally new because Univision and Galavision used the same graphics in their World Cup coverage last June.

Just letting you know...

Imagine the audience they might attract....including yours truly...if their networks...like the English speaking ...would run an English SAP or at least close caption in English..

Just a thought..

They have in the past, so why not?

As to the graphics, I noticed no network logo with the scoreline yesterday - and no network bug either. Today, however, the Univision folks were a bit undecided on whether the "U" should be on the scoreline.

Tip: if you have a transparent bug in the lower right, NO - unless you lose the bug.

One other thing missing: the exploding ball shot that triggers the "GOL!" animation on said scoreline when - well, you know. Nothing better than to hear a Spanish-language announcer sell those 'Gol's.
