New graphics/shows on CNBC

Currently it's on mute because of Dubya, but otherwise what I've seen is a mixed bag. The new 'Worldwide Exchange' is probably a novel idea even though they make Michelle get up an hour earlier; I think the title might be a bit overburdened. No more tab-tickers anymore like with 'Wake Up Call'. What little I saw of the new earlier 'Squawk Box' I like--they were a bit stiff-ish at first but got a little more conversational later. Carl was on the channel before this but I wasn't watching it then so I'm not sure about him yet. If I'm not mistaken, was there no 'guest host'? They've cleaned out all the bric-a-brac too. Sure was different without Mark and **definitely** different without David. I missed the new 'Squawk on the Street' (what used to be the last hour of the previous 'Squawk'; done live from the NYSE) where Mark is now, with David and a couple of others. Was on my way home from work during that. Haven't yet seen what they've done to 'Morning Call' as someone is **still** news conferencing. The bottom ticker now has full names of companies as well as the ticker symbols--better for anyone not sure which company is which. The right-corner data (stock indexes, petro-prices, etc.) has been moved to the top of the screen; I could barely make out 1/4 of it on the big TV at work (with no way to know how to change the resolution to see it better), while the home TV shows all but the text seems smaller. It kinda reminds me of the old CNNfn bottom ticker, with it's 3 sections, but the top thing only gets 1 line of text. Much of the other graphics (lists, graphs, ALERTs, etc.) are really _busy_ now. Spinning, blinking, and noises are almost like some sports pre-game/news/post-game shows. Guess they thought we were getting bored with the previous version. So far, all new themes as well, so no more toe-tapping 'Squawk' song anymore.

It's early yet, time will tell, so far the best improvement is the names with symbols in the bottom tickers; the text size--well, it **would** help if I'd get some new glasses, I guess :) .... and by the looks of the blinking graphics, the party must have come to Englewood Cliffs! :)

"Worldwide Exchange" is actually something that airs on the non-American CNBC channels. If you have CNBC World, you most likely whll have seen similar graphics.
